Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) – Prime Minister Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME).
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), GoI, in partnership with the State/UT Governments, has launched an all India “Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) – PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (FME)” as part of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan for providing financial, technical and business support for up-gradation/establishment of existing/new food processing enterprises.
Recently, the Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi, has given its approval to the New CSS–PM FME for the unorganized sector on all India basis with an outlay of Rs. 10,000/- Crore whereby, 2,00,000 micro-enterprises are to be assisted with credit linked subsidy and the scheme will be implemented over a 5 year period from 2020-21 to 2024-25.
